Tenancy Document Reviews

We understand being a residential landlord is stressful enough so we know the last thing you need to worry about is whether you have all the correct tenancy documents in place before being able to use the section 21 process.

At Cognitive Law we offer a fixed fee of £175+ VAT to review your tenancy documents so you can have peace of mind that should the day arrive that you need to start the process to obtain possession of your let property, you can be confident that everything is already in place.

Don’t leave it until the day when you need to serve notice on your tenant(s) only to find one piece of that jigsaw is missing taking away the option of serving a ‘no fault’ notice.

Mediation

Dispute Resolution is Changing.

As of 22 May 2024 attending mediation has become an integrated required step in resolving money disputes with a value under £10,000.  It affects both claims made on paper and online and is free of charge.  Later this year the requirement will be extended to cover ALL small money claims under £10,000.

In all cases (not just financial) parties are already strongly encouraged by the Court to mediate and real consideration should be given to avoiding costly and protracted litigation by seeing if a mutually satisfactory settlement can be reached.
