Hayley-jo specialises in dispute resolution acting for individuals and companies in contractual disputes, professional negligence claims, defamation, wills and estate claims and property disputes between unmarried couples (TLATA).

Having spent over 12 years in the legal sector, specialising within litigation, Hayley-jo has developed a range of experience in commercial and civil litigation matters developing a specialism in wills, trust and estate disputes. Hayley-jo initially qualified as a Barrister being called to the bar in 2009; she then started her career in litigation gaining extensive experience in debt collection and breach of contract disputes and retrained as a solicitor in qualifying in 2015. She has a vast range of experience in contractual disputes, debt recovery and repossession through from small claims to high court matters and has worked on numerous high value disputes. Hayley-jo also has experience within professional negligence claims and civil claims such as defamation.

Hayley-jo developed a particular specialism in contentious probate disputes and property disputes between unmarried couples [TLATA] and has developed extensive experience in these areas over the past 6 years.

Between 2019 and 2021 Hayley-jo worked as a tutor for BPP University Ltd teaching aspiring solicitors and barristers on their postgraduate course as well as legal apprentices. Hayley- jo taught topics such as civil litigation, alternative dispute resolution, company law and drafting. Most recently Hayley-jo worked for a large National firm as a Senior Associate solicitor in their contentious trust and probate team.

Hayley-jo is an approachable and understanding litigator, ensuring that the importance of her clients' needs are at the forefront, aiming to reach a swift and desirable resolution that is in her clients best interests. Hayley-jo is experienced in strategising claims based upon the merits, legal costs and clients goals in trying to achieve the best possible outcome for her clients' and is experienced in alternative dispute resolution and has settled numerous disputes. Where it is not possible to reach settlement, she is experienced is pursuing matters to Court where necessary and has experience in conducting her own advocacy.

Outside of work Hayley-jo enjoys walking her dogs and visiting new places to walk and hike. She keeps fit by attending an outdoor military style bootcamp and regularly takes part in outdoor activities and events such as mud runs and surfing. Hayley-jo also enjoys completing challenges for charity including hiking and fitness challenges.
