Jenny Walker

Jenny Walker is an experienced later life solicitor in Portsmouth and advises clients on a range of issues arising out of later life.

After completing her Masters Degree in Political Philosophy Jenny went travelling but before getting on the plane she submitted her application to study law and qualify as a solicitor.  She completed her training in 2002 and her career has seen her as partner and head of department in her last two law firms.

Jenny advises clients in relation to preparing wills, administering estates, dealing with powers of attorney, court of protection applications and setting up trusts. She also advises and assists people with their personal affairs for example advice about care home fees, tax, trusts and disputes that can arise after the death of a friend or family member, or when people lose mental capacity to deal with their own affairs.

Jenny enjoys explaining and demystifying complex legal issues and procedures at what can be sometimes stressful and difficult times for people. She is empathetic and explains legal matters in a clear, concise, and straightforward way.

She is also a full member of STEP (Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners) which means she is one of the most senior and experienced practitioners in the field of trusts and estates.

When she is not at work, she will be found taking photographs, volunteering with 5th Portsmouth Scout Group or on the sofa with her nose in a book.

"We would like to thank you for making time to meet with us last Friday evening. It’s comforting to know that the wills have now been made official and successfully completed. We both agree that you have done your work exceptionally well and if we are being perfectly honest we very much enjoyed your company. Once again thank you for your time and an excellent service, you are always welcome to pop in for coffee/tea if you find yourself in Fareham."

"I wanted to say thank you for everything you have done, re my Parents, and the sale of the property, it’s like a weight has been lifted. I really appreciate it all."

"Thank you for being there and doing your stuff through what has been at times taxing. I will always be grateful for the relationship you quickly developed with us. You gave us some joy which was in great need of."
